Putout, Strike Out

Article 1...

     A Putout is the act of a fielder in retiring a batter / runner by legally fielding the ball before the runner has legally touched the activated base. An “out” is one of the three required retirements of the players of the team at bat.

Article 2...

     A Strike Out is the result of the batter having four strikes charged against him.
